The PetRewards Visa, issued by Bank of America, N.A. (USA), is designed for those with very good credit who would like to earn points toward pet-related rewards. Through the reward program, cardholders earn two points for every dollar spent at participating veterinary clinics, pet food retailers, farm and feed stores, and neighborhood pet specialty stores, and they earn one point for all other purchases. Cardholders receive an additional 500 bonus points after their first purchase, and rewards begin at just 750 points. Points are redeemable for veterinary services, pet food discount certificates, and shelter donations.

The card has no annual fee. There is a 0% introductory rate on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, and the interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is reasonably low after the introductory rate expires.

In addition to the reward program, the card offers cardholders platinum benefits such as auto rental insurance, various travel and emergency assistance services, purchase replacement, and no liability for unauthorized transactions. Cardholders can also choose to have their favorite photo of their pet on their card, or they can choose from several card designs.
