Should you be concerned about what that will do to my credit score? You always should be concerned about your credit scores, the three-digit numbers that lenders use to help gauge your creditworthiness.

The more cards you open, the more damage you’re doing to your scores and the more complexity you’re adding to your life, since every card comes with its own due date, rate, terms and reward program details.

For most people, that’s a better deal than airline cards, which tend to give out miles freely but often make them tough to redeem. (The exceptions to the rule are elite frequent fliers who can use their airline-card miles for upgrades, and people who are saving miles for international travel.)  Via Star Ledger
